A 24 hour/7day a week helpline that provides assistance finding free or low-cost health insurance. They help searching for private and public sources and help with specific resources for a specific disease or condition.

This organization does not do medical research, we focus our efforts on the individuals who are suffering now and who are in need of immediate, interim, or permanent help.

The Social Security and Disability Resource Center website (SSDRC.com) provides a detailed overview of how the federal disability system works (social security disability and SSI) and also provides answers to many questions that applicants typically have, but often have trouble finding answers to. For the most part, the site is based on the author's personal experience as a former disability-medicaid caseworker, and also as a former disability examiner for the social security administration.

JoannaCare is an advocacy organization dedicated to ameliorating the catastrophic effects associated with extreme medical conditions. They are a 501(c)3 Nonprofit Organization that helps people with medical bills, travel, etc. JoannaCare has a devoted board of directors and an advisory board which includes physicians, nurses, psychologists, attorneys, financiers, and other expert professionals.
